Our Story

Greg and McKenzie always knew of each other through McKenzie’s cousin and Greg's longtime friend, Tyler, but they didn't officially meet until the start of their sophomore year at the University of Delaware. On the very first night at school—August 28, 2016—Greg invited McKenzie and her roommates (now bridesmaids!) to a party at his house. From that night on, they were inseparable!

The best way to experience the beauty of Tuscany is by car, so we strongly recommend renting one during your stay to make the most of your trip!

Transportation

Renting a Car

We highly recommend renting a car for greater flexibility. Taxis are not always readily available, and there’s no Uber or Lyft in the area. Plus, Tuscany’s countryside is best explored by car!

Traveling by Train

While Pienza doesn’t have its own train station, you can take a train to Chiusi-Chianciano Terme, which is about a 25–30 minute drive from Pienza. Trains to Chiusi run from major cities like Florence and Rome. From Chiusi, you can take a taxi, shuttle, or rental car to reach Pienza. Another option is to take the train to Siena, about an hour from Pienza, and continue by car or taxi.
